“Fred…” 

“Shh…You’re going to be alright.” 

“No I won’t Fred. I’ll love you, always.” 

“Don’t go, don’t leave me alone.I love you” 

I ‘ll be in your heart always. Remember me, Fred.” 

I kissed her for the last time. Her lips were chilly and her eyes were closed and when our lips departed she sighed her last breath. 

She was gone. 

As soon as Julian finished with Eliza, he threw her nearly liveless body on the ground. Julian shouted to me and mocked me for a while and then he was gone. 

I crawled near Eliza and pulled her to my lap. She was barely alive, breathing silently. 

Before I could do anything, Julian had grabbeb Eliza and was now holding her. 

I yelled at him to leave Eliza at peace but he wouldn’ t notice me. 

“What a sweetie, Fred. You really surprised me. I never believed that you could find something so beautiful and precious. “

Julian licked his lips rather loud to highlight his words.

I didn’t know that someone knew about us. So we kept on seeing and being in love.

I planned to propose Eliza that night and I was thinking how to express myself when I heard a familiar voice behind me. 

“Romantic night, isn’t it ? ” Julian said as he came to us. 

We were so in love and full of plans for the future. I thought that nothing could come between us. Soon I’d realize that I thought wrong….

Because I couldn’t forget Eliza, I went to spy on her every night. My heart just kept bouncing like a crazy if I saw just a glimpse of her. I could stare her for hours. 

Then one night, I was as usually, lurking behind trees and I heard a door opening. Footsteps came closer and stopped just beside me. Then I heard a soft voice saying something. 

“Hey! I thought we could take a walk ? Unless you want to come inside ? My Grannie is still awake though.” 

I didn’t want to scare her granny, so I nodded yes for a walk. She gave her hand to help me and I grabbed it lightly. So smooth and tiny. Everything about her was perfect. 

I heard footsteps and thought it was Julian. I ran over the corner and shocked. It wasn’t Julian, it was the most beautiful thing I’d ever seen. I just stared at her, my feet felt like stone and I couldn’t move them. 

“Hello there!” she said and smiled. Words stuck to my throat. Villagers hated us and this beauty spoke to me? Brave girl.

“Cat got your tongue? ” She continued and crossed her arms. We stood there, I don’t know how long, just staring each other. I could smell the champignons in her basket as my eyes explored her face. 

Then all of a sudden she turned and walked away. I stood there for long time feeling something that I never believed to be possible.
